Environmental Policy

Twyford Bathrooms is committed to preserving and protecting the environment, through minimising the impacts of its activities upon the environment. This commitment embraces all aspects of our business.

The Directors of Twyford Bathrooms are committed to the success of environmental management initiatives and will allocate resources in order to achieve this.

  • It is our policy to monitor all Environmental aspects of our operations at Lawton Road, Alsager, according to the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001*
  • We will continually improve our environmental performance, by limiting the impact of our business activities and operations on the environment.

Twyford Bathrooms will achieve this by:

  • Meeting and, where appropriate, exceeding all legislative, regulatory and other requirements and will not knowingly, violate any requirements imposed by environmental law.
  • Promoting a positive commitment in order to prevent pollution at source, where reasonably possible.
  • Working towards reusing, recycling and reclaiming waste materials where possible in order to reduce waste in all aspects of our activity, and limit the amount of waste that goes to landfill.
  • Reducing carbon emissions, by promoting responsible energy management practices to improve efficiency through all premises, plant and equipment, wherever it is cost effective to do so.
  • Encouraging suppliers of raw materials, services and factored products to work towards preserving the environment, and a reduction of their carbon emmissions.
  • Ensuring that all employees are aware of this policy and of their obligations and responsibilities through environmental training and on going communication, to encourage their involvement, both at work and at home.
  • Environmental performance objectives and targets will be established annually following a review of processes and procedures, in consultation with relevant members of staff. These will be published within the organisation and will be subject to periodic management meetings and management reviews in line with the requirements of the environmental management system.

* NOTE: BS EN ISO 14000 is primarily concerned with "environmental management", namely what the organisation does to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities and to achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance.
